It started with the Rose Gold iPhone, then jewelry, moved onto rose wine and vodka (yes vodka, I’ve seen it with my own four eyes), and now it has invaded the sex toy industry. So far, I can only find a few true “rose gold” toys out there, but most are BDSM accessories like collars and chains. Evolved is the first company I have actually had grace our shelves with the rose gold coloring with their new Golden Bunny.
First off, I love the people from Evolved but let me tell you – sometimes I wonder about the people who collectively think something looks appealing. Before it was introduced to our staff, our trainer warned us that it currently “looked dirty” because some many hands have touched it. He pulled out this blush/nude colored rabbit that looked like it was bruised – pretty much like me after my daughter has had too much caffeine and makes me her personal trampoline. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but when I was given my “secret” toy at the end of the session and discovered is was the Golden Bunny, I couldn’t have disagreed with him more. Even with it being new and fresh out the box, I was not a fan of the color of this rabbit. I’m all for new colors that aren’t bright pink or purple, but this was just not appealing to me. Now, some people agreed with me and some didn’t so take a look at it yourself. The pictures do it no justice – I promise you’ll have to see this thing in person.
Now, you were probably thinking I was going to go off on some tangent about how I hate rabbits and they’re a “one size fits some” kind of toy (which they pretty much are, don’t get me wrong), but I was actually pleasantly surprised by this one! It is not a super powerful toy like some of the other Evolved rabbits I’ve owned, but that is not necessarily a bad thing for those who aren’t thrilled with stronger vibrations. It still had enough kick that I didn’t have to concentrate or force my body to orgasm so I’d say job well done so far. It has 2 motors and unfortunately, you cannot control them separately (ughhhhh), BUT something impossible happened to me – the rabbit fell perfectly on my clit (WHAT IN THE WITCHCRAFT?!). I’m dead serious, this phenomenon, this miracle, this other worldy experience happened to me … THINGS LIKE THIS NEVER HAPPEN TO ME. It fell right on my clit where I’m most sensitive and tend to focus on while masturbating. Oh and the ears? They’re very skinny but you can still feel some vibes through them and each one landed perfectly on the outside of my clit. Saying I am amazed is an understatement. The shaft isn’t too bad either – it’s the perfect size in my opinion with a slightly bigger bulb at the top where it could reach your g-spot. Although I couldn’t turn off the shaft’s motor, the silicone blub gives it some extra weight that would soften the vibes and put a little more pressure on my g-spot. Not enough to give me a g-spot orgasm, but enough to make my experience more pleasurable than usual.
As I mentioned, it is a silicone toy with the rose gold plating made of ABS plastic and body safe! It is rechargeable, waterproof and submersible, but anything with a pinhole port I would still err on the side of caution. It has 10 functions, 3 of those being different steady speed levels (as per usual). There are 3 buttons that control this rabbit: (+), (-), and the power button in the middle. They are a little poorly placed or just outright sensitive because a couple of times I did accidently change the function in the middle of play time, but nothing I couldn’t fix quickly either.
I didn’t have any wild take-aways from using this toy, but I was not disappointed. It’s great for newbies as well as vets who don’t like or want intense vibes touching their lady parts. At its price point, it’s very affordable and still pretty much guarantees good quality (and if not, Evolved has their 10-year warranty I love so much)! I may occasionally go out of my way to use this rabbit and if you can look past the color – I think it is something many rabbit owners would be interested in obtaining.
