When I mean I look for the gold standard in toys, I think this has been the most literal it has ever been taken. A simple bullet, yet also very elegant, the Gender X Gold Standard has been a top seller since we brought it in. Because of the way it looks, it’s price, and it’s simple to use one-button control – it makes it obvious why it flys off the shelves into customers pants. But my question is – is it as good as it’s name makes it seem??

What Is Standard About It?
With the Gold Standard bullet, we have the usual: 3 speeds, and 7 patterns. All have to be cycled through with one button control and depending on your preferences or patience, could be a good or bad thing. It is rechargeable AND submersible, so great for shower, tub or any type of underwater fun! It’s small so great for travel, storage (aka hiding from nosey family members or house guests) AND, of course, it has the marvelous 5 year warranty covered by Evolved Novelties. This is fine and dandy and all.. but I’m sure, just like me, you all want to know what about it makes it a GOLD standard?
Gold Medal Worthy?
One thing about the Gold Standard is that it does have slanted tip so you can choose between pin-point precision or more of a broader covering when using against your clit (if you have one of course). Also, bullets are always the easiest to use almost anywhere on anyone’s body so having a versatile yet simple toy is always great for your ‘toolbox’. Here’s the thing – this is definitely more buzz-y (for me) and I had a harder time actually being able to get close to a climax without truly thinking about it. I feel like it has been a while since I’ve had to do that, especially with an Evolved manufactured toy, but it did unfortunately happen and I had to switch to something else in my drawer. I think it’s been a while since I have been disappointed in a toy I was excited to try .. HOWEVER..
This does not mean I am telling you to avoid the Gold Standard at all costs, in fact, quiet the opposite! It does have great qualities to begin with as I previously mentioned and honestly, this is absolutely a toy that a beginner would benefit from without having to compromise for icky quality and materials. Maybe I gave it too high expectations which caused me to be disappointed, but ultimately I would not shy away from suggesting the Gold Standard to someone who is a beginner or needs ‘lighter’ vibrations.
