As a virgin blogger, I may be biting off more than one can chew in starting off with reviewing a Satisfyer, but I’m confident the knowledge I have and I am willing to share with all of you. As a sale associate, and before owning my own Satisfyer, I was impressed with it’s concept: pressure waves used to stimulate a clitoris rather than a vibrating piece of plastic – very different and unique for someone who has been selling toys for about a year now and using them for about seven. But, with selling them come the stories customers share after purchasing and using them. Many reviews, both first hand and shared from co-workers, many were unimpressed by toys that were purely using the pulsing waves for “lack of build up.” Despite lack of my own experience, I would disclose to usual customers and those who were familiar with toys the possible disadvantage of owning a Satisfyer or similar vibrator (The goes for the “OG” pressure wave toy – the Womanizer). That changed the day that finally bite the bullet and bought myself the Satisfyer Pro Traveler.
I can understand why people say there is “no” build up – it did not take me as long to orgasm as it normally would have, BUT it still took a few minutes and had the same intensity as if I used one of my favorite clitoral vibes. There is an exception though… my orgasm resulted in what appeared to be the human version of Niagara Falls. I’ve only squirted a few times in my life and with several different toys used the several different ways. Why is this time any different? Because I was able to repeat the results over and over again (who knew I would be using my college research classes in the real world)! For those of you worried about having to constantly lay down plastic sheet, it did not happen EVERY time, but it is now officially my first friend I resort to when I want to try and reach certain results. The indirect stimulation was * my * perfect kind of intense and with the pressure waves, I felt like it was hitting several spots that a toy with direct contact can miss – if you’re familiar with rabbit vibes, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. I even appreciated the lower settings whereas I would normally start (and finish) at the highest settings.
Now for the not so fun facts and possible quirks (THIS STILL PRETTY IMPORTANT SO DON’T SKIP THIS PART). The Satisfyer Pro Traveler is about the size of a credit card and as thick as a small coin purse – so you can fit this in your back pocket if you’re really feeling it that day. It comes with a cool cover that sticks together with magnets and is not obviously a toy – something I tend to appreciate. As I mentioned previously, it has 11 levels of intensity and each level felt noticeably different. In addition to the contact-less stimulator, the lower levels may also be favorable with those who need a softer and tender pulse. Despite some older models and other pressure-wave toys, the Pro Traveler is waterproof. I would not necessarily bring any toys in the tub with me in general, and due to the nature of how the older generation of pressure-waves were made, I would still be cautious about it anyway and because of * some * suction you may notice (nothing to worry about, but the noise may freak you out if you aren’t ready for it). I have yet to use it in the water and may try it as time passes, but I CAN stay it has withstood several incidences of my own body flooding the interior of the toy. The “ring” is made of silicone and the handle is made of ABS plastic, and although I couldn’t see a reason to use lubes with this toy as there is no insertion required, avoid using silicone-based ones to be on the safe side. It does advertise as “quiet” but it does have a buzzy sound when in use. It did seem to be muffled when I did have it closer to my body, but I still would not bring it into a church with me and expect it to be inconspicuous. For being considered a “knock-off” version of the Womanizer, it certainly brings customers at ease when being able to afford such a techy and now trendy type of toy without robbing them. I have yet to recharge it since taking it out of it’s box, but that also may be due to the less time I need to use it. Most products in the Satisfyer line last about 2 hours, so I am guess-timating I still have time to get juiced down before I juice it back up. It is USB rechargeable and comes with it’s own cable, but you may need to borrow your phone’s outlet plug or use your computer to charge if you don’t have another one lying around. And finally, be sure to thoroughly clean it after every use! Lukewarm soap and water and some toy clear should do the trick, especially on the inside.
My recommendation? STOP DEPRIVING YOURSELF OF FUN AND TREAT YO’SELF. I understand if you don’t support the issues with the knock-off scenario, but let’s be real – not everyone can afford to throw out $200 on a something they’re not sure if they’re going to like. Plus, this little guy has proven himself strong for his size and easy to hide if that’s a concern of yours. Seriously, I may be new to blogging, but I’m an expert in knowing pleasure and the Satisfyer Pro Traveler may have just set some new standards in my book.
