Lady Genevieve with the Sexy Scoop on Boob Play

Lady Genevieve Talks Massage Oils

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I figure it was time to focus on the girls a little more than usual.  When people ask me “what body part do you like most about yourself”, I don’t tend to mention my breasts, because I don’t want them to be sexualized.  Why would that be a problem for someone like me who works in an adult toy store and writes blogs?  A couple of reasons: 1) Because they help nourish our offspring by producing milk filled with antibodies 2) because for some, cis-women and trans-women, they represent femininity and not sexuality which is a personal and inward feeling and 3) because men have them too and we don’t sexualize their chest.  But I do love my chest, and I love it because of comfort they give me (except when I’m laying on my stomach, that’s no fun), but also because they’re mine and I chose what I do to them and when I want to sexualize them.

Now, I don’t know what it is like to have breast cancer.  I don’t know the pain or the emotion that women (and men) go through from start to finish.  I don’t know what it is like to not be able to feel aroused from a slight touch of foreplay because of a mastectomy or other related surgeries.  What I do know is, if there is sensation, how some simple toys can help increase the sensation during foreplay and sex and in the most painless ways possible.  This can go for those who have also gone through breast reduction, plastic surgery, those who haven lessened sensations naturally, and those who just like nipple play.

A simple and fun way to start is Nipple Nibblers Tingle Balm.  It’s like a lip balm (and actually you can use it as one), but for your nipples!  They do exactly what you expect – it feels amazing when your partner is rubbing it on you and they can have fun too with the flavors offered!  I’m pierced, so sometimes it’s hard for me to tell if it’s the piercings themselves causing stimulation or my initial arousal that then triggers my sensitivity, but I know the balms works because it felt different (a good different) on my nipples and on my lips.  They come in various different flavors for those who are picky like myself and come in various sizes.  Trying to put a bra or shirt on after the fact have me squealing and I almost had a nipple-gasm after that. I probably wouldn’t use them often just because of having to remember to pull it out of my drawer every time, BUT if I had it attached to my hip, I would use it all the time.  No mess, no charging or batteries and has multiple uses – exactly what a busy mom like me needs.  These are ONLY found in store, but are always readily available. For online orders, you can also pick up one of our top seller, the Nipple Play Erect Nipple Gel which go out of stock on a weekly basis. Oh, and always remember to skin test first!

I got my nip nops (yes that is my favorite term for my nipples JUDGE ALL YOU WANT) a set of the Calexotics’ Nipple Play Advanced Nipple Suckers.  These battery-less toys can be pretty fun, but I also have a record for suctioning dildos to my forehead during our in-services (FULL DISCLOSURE IT ALWAYS ENDS WITH A HICKEY-LIKE BRUISE).  They’re simple to use by just placing the sucker over your nipple and squeezing on the blub end so it creates an air-tight suction and VOILA! – stimulation.  They are made of silicone and easy to clean.  In regards to using them during foreplay, I’m not sure I would use these.  A slight movement of the sucker and air gets in and releases, which probably wouldn’t prove much fun.  I also had to be sure to have smaller piercing bars in because any of my fancy/longer ones wouldn’t have allowed the suckers to work.  If you want to be sure to have something to hold onto the suction longer, I would recommend looking into some of our cupping toys – BUT BE SMART.  Just like cock rings, if they’re on for too long, you’re asking for some trouble.

One of my favorite things is feeling quick and steady vibrations during foreplay, so I also picked up the Calexotics’ Nipple Play Vibrating Heated Nipple Teasers.  This thing was definitely fun to use!  I’m not a huge fan of battery operated toys because I feel like they lack power, but this thing has a kick to it, and with only 2 speed functions (yes, I am extremely surprised myself)!  You just open up the clamps, place them on your nipples, and you can adjust the gap so you’re not cutting off circulation or risking them snapping off – I have a rational fear from some of my previous job experiences, okay?  This was a great feature for me because of my piercings.  It definitely was more a little more uncomfortable to keep the teasers on with my piercings, but I worked through it.  I did end up taking them out to experiment a bit and enjoyed it a bit more.  One disappointment I found was it did not feel as though it got as hot as it said it would, but I’m also not a human thermometer.

Another good thing about each of these toys is they are quite inexpensive, which I think is one less thing anyone has to worry about.  As I’ve mentioned before in previous blogs, I’m not a doctor, so I would highly recommend speaking with your physician before doing anything.  And another a friendly reminder – no matter what age, check yourself!  You know your own body better than anyone else, so feel yourself up!  If something feels wrong, see your doctor.  Breast cancer may primarily affect women, but it doesn’t discriminate.

Take care of yourself and stay sexual!
