Fantasy Gifts NJ Sponsors Sexy Bingo at Rowan University

Fantasy Gifts NJ once again sponsored Sexy Bingo at Rowan University last Friday to benefit The Trans Lifeline.  Rowan University’s Prism, the student run LGBTQ club on campus, holds an annual campus inclusive event to bring attention to raise funds for charities with special meaning for their organization. The night of bingo was a huge success with close to 800 students competing for prizes provided by Fantasy Gifts NJ through the generous support of many of the top vendors in the adult industry.  

“We are so pleased to continue our tradition of supporting this great event Prism at Rowan University,” said Dee Bertino, owner of Fantasy Gifts NJ.  “We have been sponsoring this event for 8 years and this year was one of the largest crowds ever. The college kids love it and it’s a great way to expose them to some fun products and lubricants!” The annual Sex Toy Bingo is one of their biggest and well-attended fundraisers. The students lined up on a cold December night hours before the event to secure a seat. Unfortunately a few students even had to be turned away!

Pfleeger’s Concert Hall was at max attendance of 800 students all who vied for the chance to win baskets of prizes which all supplied by Fantasy Gifts NJ and their generous vendors. Every student received a Safe Sex Kit which contained a condom, personal lubricant samples, and a coupon for a future purchase at Fantasy Gifts. The event included traditional bingo, a raffle for a basket of prizes and interactive entertainment with the audience and presenters. In addition, information on topics like reproductive health services and the importance of sexual consent were provided. This year, Prism encouraged amateur drag queens from the student body to strut their stuff and call out the bingo. Over twenty prize baskets were awarded throughout the night and each basket had a minimum value of $125.00 up to $350.00. The baskets all had different themes to appeal to all students.

In addition to being a fun Thursday event at Rowan University, the organization set out to raise money for The Trans Lifeline. Trans Lifeline is a grassroots hotline and microgrants 501(c)(3) non-profit organization offering direct emotional and financial support to trans people in crisis – for the trans community, by the trans community. Their mission is to connect trans people to the community support and resources we need to survive and thrive. Prism at Rowan raised about $1,170 in donations for Trans Lifeline. In addition, information on topics like reproductive health services and the importance of sexual consent were provided.

“Every year we approach the vendors in the adult industry and ask for their help and we are always overwhelmed by their generosity,” said Bertino.   “This event would not be possible without them and we’re so grateful for the wonderful working relationship we have with these great vendors.”

The event has welcomed more participants each of the times it has been held. Prism and Fantasy Gifts NJ plan to continue to host one Sex Toy Bingo per year.
