Trying to find the best lubes for each an every occasion can feel overwhelming, especially when you take a look at our lube wall (or online selection). You may not know where to begin and if what your purchasing is going to end up bring right for the type of activity you’re planning for the night. We always get the question of what’s the ‘best lube’ and as simple as that question seems, things like preference are super subjective. However, we looked at what has been our top selling lubes in the past year to give you a more concrete answer!

System Jo H2O water-based lube has been our top selling water-based formula, but also a top selling lube overall. In fact, this particular formula not only has a customer fan base, but these customers come in and special order even bigger bottles because they adore it so much! Water-based lubricants are best for toys because there is no concerns in it destroying the material – specifically silicone toys. As the saying goes “water-based is always safe,” but to see System Jo H2o completely tower over all of the lubricant options available, there is probably a good reason for that!
Silicone lubricant is what is often recommended by OB/GYNs and leaders in the menopause world. The reason for this is because it lasts very long and really helps in reducing friction during any penetrative sex or the use of toys in solo or partnered play. Although silicone is not recommended by the adult toy industry to use with other silicone lubricants, Pjur Original has been a staple in our store specifically because it has 30 years of international market recognition and has been considered a medical device since 20214. Customers will come into our stores, walk right up to Pjur Original, buy it and leave because it has become a household name.

Wicked is very well known for creating formulas that work amazingly for people and products, and their Wicked Hybrid formula is the poster child of that. Wicked Hybrid is a formula that is often recommended to customers who want to be able to switch from skin-to-skin play to a silicone toy or vice versa. It is very often tested on silicone toys with no issues, so it has been extremely reliable in scenario and with quite a handful of return customers coming in to grab it – Wicked Hybrid being the top of its kind just makes sense.
We we genuinely surprised to see the flavored line of Skins was popular this past year – but not in a bad way! Because of the amount of flavors we have in store, it’s a harder type of lube to track. However, when you are the only line we sell that offers something like bubblegum or chocolate, it tends to make sense why they absolutely topped the charts against all other flavored line!

Not many lubricants can boast that they were created for a specific demographic in mind, but Wicked’s Simply Timeless Collection can! This line was made for menopausal people in mind from the formula in each of their bottles to even the font that covers them. They have water-based, silicone, hybrid and even a gel version that will allow people to chose how they truly want to experience solo or partnered play. And this doesn’t JUST have to be for menopausal individuals – the formulas are great for someone who is perimenopausal, experiencing dryness due to medications or other symptoms due to medical issues, or for people who just LOVE how it feels. They definitely get a gold-star in our books!
Gel versions of lubricants don’t always get enough love, but once Wicked Jelle Plus was released, we’ve never seen a gel lubricant go as fast as this one does! Specifically geared towards anal play because it is a lubricant WITH a relaxer. Usually relaxers come separate from lubricants which can be (for lack of a better term) pain in the butt because you have to have 2 separate products for one type of play – but this not only combines them, but it is also from a wonderful reputable company that has your most delicate parts in mind.
Of course we recognize that not all of these lubricants are going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but in terms of answer that ‘best seller’ question – I think we got this one covered!
