That being said, permanent desensitization from using topical stimulating gels has roots in both math and fact – so let’s unpack that.

In quickly doing some research, yes, desensitization has been found in several studies on specific topical medications (emphasis on SPECIFIC). Usually it is a long-long-term use and it seems to be the same handful of drugs in all the different links I clicked. As far as any type of topical sexually stimulating products for penis-owners, the answer seems to be ‘no’. In fact, there really isn’t that many products out there for penis stimulating because quite often, the question is the opposite and looking for ways to delay ejaculation. This does not mean I am giving an astounding no, rather, this means there are three ‘most-likely’ answers to your question:

1. No, the product itself will not cause desensitization (and this can be for various reasons);
2. Yes, natural ingredients can still act a drugs and people can become desensitized to them;
3. Unsure, there isn’t enough information saying yay or nay to either or any other possibilities.

To be honest, I am probably in the third camp of answers. Logically, my brain says similar to other drugs and people developing a tolerance, desensitization to the formula is a possibility. Long-answer short, if you’re worried about it, then it would be worth finding different ways to masturbate that might be exciting! Or only using a topical stimulating product on occasion.
