When a sex toy seller has her pick of hundreds of toys, what are her favorites? Lady Genevieve tells you about a few of her favorite vibrators, lubricants and toy cleaner.
As I have mentioned previously, I am not a fan of the larger toys. Small and discrete are my go-to when you have a 4 and ½ year old who’s favorite thing is to try on mommy’s over the shoulder boulder holders and ask “Why?” Not to mention, we’re now at the stage were we dry hump things and privacy is the newest concept we have to work on.
One of the main companies we love dearly is Evolved. They make some of the best quality toys and in my opinion, at a decent or surprisingly low price. They’re the less “scary” looking toys for new-“cumers” as well as for those who are veterans and want to switch it up. When recommending toys to consumers and partners, I always go to Evolved first because I trust them and their products! They may not always be the ending purchase, but I know I did my job when I can truly inform everyone on their expectations – actually this is what got me started on my blog!
A couple of my favorite toys come from Evolved and they’re both clitoral vibes – The Pretty in Pink and the Little Dipper! Don’t let their size fool you – they are EXTREMELY powerful even on the lowest setting. Some days, I don’t have to go beyond the first speed to orgasm. I want to go into their similarities first as they do have quiet a few of them. They are both fully submersible and rechargeable, strong motors and they have Evolved wonderful 5 year warranty which is always a plus. Oh, and of course they’ve helped me squirt on occasion with the help of another g-spot vibe (but I don’t want to take the spotlight away from these bullets). And don’t let my words or their description fool you, this can be used between couples of any gender or sexual identity. I’ve found plenty of uses for it with Lance – let your imagination fly with these little guys!
I definitely have different experiences from both despite their similar motors. This is because they are molded differently and in the best way possible! The Pretty in Pink (as you guessed is pink) has that original bullet shape to it. It is made of plastic with a silky smooth PU coating (a toy she likes that isn’t silicone say WHAAAAAA?!). It is EXTREMELY strong, like an 11 out of 10. But with great strength, comes some loud noises and this little guy can be quite noisy if you don’t want to be heard behind closed doors. The Little Dipper is a nice light blue color, ribbed and ergonomic shape that really amplifies the vibrations when you ne
ed them. The power level on this guy may be an 8 or 9 our of 10, BUT that is still high compared to other larger vibes and rabbits. Also, The Little Dipper is made of silky silicone, which feels a lot better compared to Pretty in Pink’s coating. Also, despite their similar features, they use different charging cables so, unfortunately, you cannot use them interchangeably.
Full disclosure, there are similar vibes from Evolved that did disappoint me and as a blogger, I want to be as honest as possible. On the Spot is a new bullet Evolved put out and I am not as impressed as I was hoping. It has similar features such as a powerful motor, silicone, rechargeable, submersible, and has the same warranty as all the other products. A new feature I found awesome was the color-changing base that represents the function! My favorite color was green – the steady vibrations at the strongest level. It is marketed as “instead of remembering the function, you remember the color.” An issue I found with this color-changing concept was that if I am changing the function, I’m not usually watching for the colors in between my thighs. Another issues I found was the button to turn it on and off and to change the functions is IMPOSSIBLE to find. I shouldn’t be spending more time trying to find the button than I do with using the bullet. I thought the flat tip would also be helpful but I can really only feel the point of the tip of this bullet. As much as I would have loved to be proud of this toy, I am very disappointed.
Since these are the few toys I tend to use often, I figured I’d mention a lube I do tend to gravitate to – Wicked Aqua Sensitive. I know I mentioned that I have very sensitive skin and sometimes that does include having had some reactions to lubes. I do gravitate more towards water-based as there are less ingredients and less to guess what may have caused it – but I never have to do that with Aqua Sensitive. If you’ve ever had any issues with lubricants, I would highly recommend trying it! I also use their Foam n’ Fresh toy cleaner! I know it may seem expensive compared to generic toy cleaners, but being able to see and physically wash it, it makes me feel like I KNOW it is clean. One to two pumps and it DOES last a while!
I would say, it is up to you if you only want to add one of these to your collection, but I would suggest making room for those on my faves list – I mean there’s enough love to go around right?! You’d be missing out on a wonderful experience if you have been bypassing these clitoral vibes.
Stay Sexual!
